Beijing Thanksgiving

After a traditional Thanksgiving dinner here in Xi'an Monday night, I joined other BYU teachers for a weekend in Beijing.  We packed a lot into a couple of days and I loved every minute of it.  Beijing is a very vibrant city and much faster paced than Xi'an.  I never thought a city of 8 million would seem small but compared to Beijing, Xi'an suddenly seems small and much slower paced.  Maybe that's why I love it so much here in Xi'an.  While in Beijing, we visited Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, the Great Wall, Olympic sites, and the Hutongs.  One night we went to a Chinese Acrobats show and another night enjoyed a delicious Peking Duck dinner.
